we announce a formal opening of

LADIES, MISSES AH CHPRESS GARMESTS

At bViiri time, day or evening. We invite the attention of every lady in Traverse
City or vicinity. While yre shall make no special effort to effect sales at this time,
we shall be prepared to do so, or to lay away any garments for future delivery,
where parties are not ready to purchase. Our‘main desire however will he to in
troduce to every lady, the make, style, beauty and richness of our garments. We
have a large capital invested in them and have endeavored to secure an assortment
equal in every respect to any found in cities of twenty thousand mu habitants.
Whether there will be a demand for them or whether we shall realize a profit commensur
ate with the investment is a question still open. We propose however to place the price
within the reach of all, and therefore urge your attention to them at the earliest time.
Remember this will be a special day, when we shall devote the entire day and evening
in showing every attention to any and all who may simply care to look
This opening will take place in our new addition store formerly occupied by ,M-E.
Haskell. Entrance from rear of our building or at the old bookstore entrance in front.
Soon after we shall be ready to make a formal opening of Boots and Shoes and convert the en
tire building into a Magnificent Boot & Shoe store.
