Terese Flaherty was honored for her service as library director from 1951 to 1966. She succeeded Otto Berg, who served as director from 1950 to 1951. Pictured with her are other retirees honored that evening at a public ceremony. Right is Police Chief Charles Woodrow; Mayor Carter Strong (left) honored the retirees with service plaques.
