Lumber
A black and white photograph of a lumberyard. There is a young man sitting on top of a stack of logs. He is wearing a long sleeved button up shirt, long pants, work boots, a hat or cap, and dark colored gloves. These logs have been cut to an even length and are secured or lashed together with rope. There are numerous cut logs scattered in the foreground of the image. The logs on the left side are stacked neatly while the logs towards the right side of the image are arranged more haphazardly. There is snow on top of some logs and blanketing the ground, so the photo was likely taken in the winter. On the reverse side of the photograph, the words "S D Hox?" or "S D Hoxie?" and "Grawn, MI" are written on the bottom right corner. There is a building in the background of the image that could be a lumber shed or storage facility. It has a glass window on the left side and a large opening in the front of the structure. There is also an overturned wagon visible on the left side of the image in the background. A tall chimney protrudes from the roof of a structure behind the visible building.
