"Traverse City, Mich." Front Street looking west from Cass in the 1920s.
Downtowns
Front Street looking west from Cass in the 1920s. Prokop Kyselka's, to the left, is on the site of today's Franklin's Restaurant, and you can see the Whiting Hotel a bit further along. The first building on the right is the Beadle building, today home of the mackinaw brewing Comapnay. Notice the potted trees on the sidewalks - early urban planing! Front street is two ways with angled parking.
Wouldn't it be fun to do some "Shopping on Saturday' along this street? The photo gives us a wonderful view of Front Street looking west from Cass in the 1920s.
