Description
The Northern Michigan Asylum, Traverse City State Hospital, and the Traverse City Regional Psychiatric Hospital operated between 1885 and 1989. This collection spans the entirety of the institution's lifespan, the aftermath of the closure in the 1990s, and the redevelopment of the State Hospital grounds in the 2000s. The contents of this collection are related to the operation of the hospital, employees and persons associated with the hospital, and the redevelopment of the grounds.
