Description
Probably a 4th of July celebration on Front street with an arched banner saying "Welcome to Traverse City" in the background. It appears that a parade is expected and there is something coming in the distance. (It could also be the decorations for Willian Jennings Bryan's visit in 1896 but the picture is undated.) The City Opera House and the Hannah & Lay Building both appear in image.
