Earl Case, owner of the Case Lumber Company and the town of Donekn, lived in the house at the end of the street. Beyond the Case house and behing it were the company emplyees' houses. They included the Drakes, the Beans, the Bakers, the Howells and the Trezonas. In the same vicinity was the Munzel farm. Donken was named for Earl Case's sons, Donald and Kenneth.
