Description

Overview of the north Union Street bridge over the Boardman River taken from the tower of the Traverse City State bank. Steamer "Puritan" on the bay. 1920's overview of the north Union Street bridge crossing the Boardman River. Taken from the tower of the Traverse City State Bank (today 5th/3rd Bank), on the left we can see the M N & E railway station, and the Morgan Canning Co., which occupied the peaked-roof, white building (today the Open Space). All of the buildings to the right of Union have been torn down. Notice there is no Grand View Parkway. The steamer "Puritan" can be seen on West Bay.
