Description
Moonlight near Wequetong Club. This peaceful scene shows the We-Que-Tong Club with Old Mission Penisula in the background, ca 1910. The club sat close to where the Boardman flows into West Bay today (the river mouth was shifted west when Grandview parkway was built in the early 1950s) people swam and boated from this club, and dances were regularly held there. in the 1930s and 40s the We-Que-Tong fell into disrepair and eventualy was torn down.
