Description

WWII "Victory Garden" scenes. The first two pictures are the Hensel family,(l-r in the first picture) Dorothy, Glen, Ronald, Margo and Peggy. The next pictures are unidentified but the last one of the lady sitting on the porch is Isabelle Breithaupt with her son Bill at their home at 616 w. 10th Street. Her husband, Tony, and Glen Hensel both worked for Parsons during the war and John Parsons provided a piece of land the employees could use to raise vegetables.
