Description
Bibby's IGA grocery store at 709 Wadsworth Street. Bibby's operated from 19?? to 19??. Such stores graced many city neighborhoods well into the 1940s and 50s, and a few even longer. Starting in the 1950s large supermarkets were built on what was the the edge of town, and this marked the demise of most small, neighborhood stores.
