Description

The "Diamond Alkali" was a self discharging bulk carrier here delivering coal to Traverse City in the 1930's. The ship was built in 1917 by Great Lakes Engineering Works of Ecorse, Michigan. It was scrapped in 1986. Delivery is at the Coal Dock (Renney Oil Dock) in Greilickville
