Description
These photographs were taken during summer camp at the Leelanau School for Boys in 1941. In the first picture, Bernice Berg and Helen Curry, who were local teenaged employees there, are eating apples on the upper bunk of one of the employee bunkhouses. In the second picture, the girls have staged a play for their own amusement. (L-R): Minister Jessie Tobin, bride Garnet Olson, groom Bernice Berg, best man Helen Curry, maid of honor Gladys Purkiss. Bernice Berg and Helen Curry would go on to graduate from the TCSH Training School for Nurses.
