Description

Mary's Cafe after fire, 9 April 2012. In the fall of 2011, Mary's Cafe was burned beyond repair. This fire was believed to have been set intentionally. although no charges have been filed. Prior to being purchased by Renee Carson and operating as Mary's Cafe, the building was owned by the Arsenault family, who operated PJ's Restaurant. Originally, the building was part of the Brownson Sanitarium; this part of the building had been moved from its original location to the location shown in the photograph, which is on the north side of M-113 west of Brownson Avenue. In this photograph, the building is being prepared for demolition.
