Description
Ore boat Edward Y. Townsend. Built in 1906 and served many years until her sister ship developed structural defects, broke in half, and sunk. The Townsend was found to have similar difficulties and was removed from service in 1966 and scrapped.The sister ship that sank and took her whole crew but one survivor was the Ben Morrell.
