Description
Straub Brothers and Amiotte building, home of the famous Straub Brothers and Amiotte Chocolates and Candies, at the northwest corner of Front and Hall Streets. Image was a gift to the Traverse Area District Library from Mrs. Zenda (Amiotte) Blanchard of 319 6th Street. The building was finished in 1900 and was expanded to its present size in 1910. The owner of the Buick automobile in the foreground is unknown; Mrs. Blakeslee is picture in the front seat and Mrs. Amiotte is one of the persons in the rear. Also pictured are Emmet Parker and John Hendricks, driving the horse drawn vehicles in the foreground.
