Black and white photograph of five high school girls with Santa, c. 1959. In the mid-twentieth century several high schools from smaller towns in Northern Michigan (Bellaire, Rapid City, Central Lake and Ellsworth) picked a Christmas Queen. The young woman second from the left has been identified as Juanita Nickerson Pierce, and the woman on the right has been identified as Mary Ann Warner.
