The three men charged in the murder of Gerald Lee, of East Jordan, at 2:30 am on Wednesday, November 24, 1948, are pictured from left to right: Rex Loveless, Grand Rapids; Theodore McNeil, Grand Rapids; Charles McNeil, father of Theodore, Mancelona. In the photograph of two men, where one is holding a rifle, the men are State Police Detectives Lou Smith and Clarence Bloomquist. They are displaying the 30-06 deer rifle used in the shooting to death of Gerald Lee.
