Black and white photograph of the Interlochen Bowl Hotel, which was originally the Hotel Pennington built in 1909. The original wooden building was razed in the 1950's and replaced with a cement block structure of similar appearance but without the porches. This is mostly the original building.
The National High School Orchestra Camp, National Music Camp, Interlochen Arts Academy, Interlochen Center for the Arts are all names used over the years for an organization that started as a summer camp and has grown into a year around center for all the arts. It began in 1927 in the Hotel Pennington on Green Lake near interlochen.
