Description
1947 Centennial Parade of Traverse City, Bearded Men, parade of men standing in front of Petander's Tires on West Front Street, Traverse City. Also in background are the Hotel Traverse in the Wilhelm Building, a gift shop, Arnold's Office Supply, the Bo-Gi Canteen, the Coca-Cola Bottling Company, and Kroger's. There are approximately one-hundred and fifty men in this photograph, most all have facial hair, and many are attired in period dress, dating from mid-1800s to pre-1920. The line is continued in photographs 2017.9.2 and 2017.9.4.
