Richcards & Kelly MFG. Co.,
Manufacturers of
Prismatic Sidewalk Lights
Vault Lights,m Sky Lights,
Floor Lights and Coal-Hole Covers,
389 Twenty-Third Street.
Chicago, May 13th 1892

Mr. Julius Steinberg
Traverse City Mich.

Dear Sir- yours of May 12th
received- We had a drawing
furnished us to make those
Vault Lights big and we
made them according to
the sizes furnished, we are
very sorry if they do not fit
but it is no fault of ours.
and we shall not pay any
bills for labor you put on
them unless you can show
us it was our mistake.
We are very careful to follow drawings
and if we make our work
like drawing no blame can be attached to us.
The cement furnished was
intended to run the joists
between the work furnished
by us and that already in
the building. and should be
melted over a slow fire great
care being taken not to burn
it and run it into the
2
joists when the work
is very dry, if you do it
this way it will make a good and tight job.
Yours Resp-ly
Richards + Kelly Mfg. Co.
