Office of J. Steinberg,
Dealer in Dressy Goods and Clothing.
Traverse City, Mich April 30th 1886

Mr. Herman Bendix
Dear Sir
On answer to your reply April 26th would
say, however the error might be about those
732 bows. I could not use them @1.50 dozen
I therefore returned them this day by express which
kindly place same to my credit as per statement
and in regard to my scarf your young man
is certainly mistaken when he says he seen me
putting that scarf in my pocket. it was mr.
yalomsteins son. but my scarf was given
by the young man to be packed with my
goods as I did not want to care to used until I
got home it is not the value of the scarf
that I am after, but am positive that
the young man is mistaken in his man
neither am I in habit of loosing anything
as I am taking well care of my self
Yours Respectfully
J. Steinberg
