J. S.

Gentlemen
On answer to yours yours of April 29
is at hand
and in reference to my claims on Freight
would say being that I am always on the look-
out for high freights as well as our neighboring
merchants, I have allways managed to
receive freights form chicago of M. F. + Co in
Bales and so does my neibor Mr. S. Yalonstein
receiving from H. B. Claffin Es. galpeys
all his heavy goods in bales which he saves
nearly one half, and I have the same informed
to your Mr. Loomis and told him that if there I
would take my own risk if there
was any risk, and however you are claiming
that the Transportation co would not be responsible
for is no excuse in this case nor satisfactory
unless you will kindly credit allow me the
$10.00 difference as that I claimed before and you
will oblige
Yours Truly
J.S.
