SL Petersburg this morning states
there that the Russian cruiser Boyarin
has suffered s Uke fate to the torpedo
traneport Yenisei and has been blown
up by a mine in the harbor of Port
Arthur. The Boyarin is said to hsve
been completely destroyed. One hun­
dred and ninety seven officers and men
of the crxiieer were killed.

in Manchuria, it is officially an­
nounced.
No' intimation is given
whether the Japanese troops were in
the vicinity of Port Arthur in the Yalu
or not.
The news is looked upon, however,
as confirmation of the report from
Paris that a battle is now raging on
the northern side of the Yalu.
