Dickenson & Mustard's big Spectacular Organization and 1‘opular Trick
Pantoinine. “Humpty-Dumpty" opened a four-day engagement at the
Grand Monday night. The production, which is a brilliant one. has been
improved both |n matter of specialties and, sccner>'. and is said to furnish
«ome rapid fun. It is said of William Ruge that he looks like the average
run of
but his methods are particularly his own and very effective.
He aocfihls pardner. Charles-Frobel, do a clever specialty in the ^ond
act called the "Clown and the Chinaman.” Other enteruining niembere
of the cast are Moa and Goodrich, who are immensely amusing in their
roller skating^jDtic: the Manning twins, who dance well, and Joseph C.
Smith, who isuko a feature of the spe<;iahies.
The first and third aett are devoted .largely to pantomime, fun and the
illuuons. Several new features are introduced, and the transformation
at the close, "The Birth of Mom," is gdrgwus in its lights and colorings. ,
The incidental muiic of Humpty Dumpty is excellent.
