A group of Men working at a Civilian Conservation Corps camp in Beulah
Twenty-one Men, standing with shovels, pick axes, and axes at a CCC camp. The envelope that it came in stated that it was a camp in Beulah on Crystal Lake, with Stan Rae as the foreman, the accuracy of these labels is unknown.
"Sergeant Ziets. Corp. Edward P. Ziets, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank L. Ziets of Lake Leelanau has been promoted to the rank of sergeant at Grenier Field in Manchester, N.H., where he is stationed as a member of a fighter squadron. He graduated from St. Mary's school at Lake Leelanau in 1934, spent 14 months in the CCC and worked for the Metal Casket company here before entering the Air Corps in March, 1941."
