Description
Karlin Grocery store. Formerly owned by Frank Komrska, Bill Fish and before it burned, Frank Sorna. (Frank Sorna still runs a business called the Karlin Grocery but in a new building next door.)
Karlin was a stop on the M&NE railroad near the south end of Green Lake. It had a depot for shipping agricultural products from Grant Township farms and was the center of a community of mostly immigrant farmers lured from Chicago by the promise of good farm land.
