Description

Overview of the Oval Wood Dish Company, the Boardman River and downtown Traverse City.
The OWD Co. employed more than 500 people and had an annual payroll in excess of $200,000. Its factories produced a variety of hardwood products including thin shallow oval shaped wooden dishes for use in meat markets and grocery stores.
