Description

C.S.K.S. hall in Karlin. ( 2 different buildings shown) Many of the residents of Karlin were Bohemian and here were similar organizations in Traverse City. Karlin was a stop on the M&NE railroad at the south end of Green Lake. It had a depot for shipping agricultural products from Grant Township and acted as the center of a community of mostly immigrant farmers brought from Chicago to the area by the lure of good land.
