Description

Black and white postcard of five men with a loaded wagon and a team of horses in front of the Masonic building on the SE corner of Front and Union Streets, c. 1910. The wagon has a load of empty fruit baskets headed for old Mission peninsula. The baskets may have come from the Wells-Higman Basket factory which was located at 8th and Wellington, on the north shore of Boardman Lake. The left man on the top of the load was Earl Hodge who had a orchard on the peninsula. The automobile behind the wagon is an early touring car.
