Dear Sir
Your favor of Nov 2nd
in H.S. Northrop of N.Y. sent by them in as their
western agent to answer.
They have sent their
catalogue the metal used by the Northrops
is steel but we also use bright tin finished
with lacquer in any color of silt? or bronze-
very rich – we also handle a line of enivper? and
beaded iron for cheaper work and can scale
our work as per- price like given on back of enclosed card-
These prices are for work com-
pleted ready for paint- the bright bronze work
costs 20¢ to 30 ¢ fully decorated but we continue
the bright work and the steel, painted in soft
flat tint matching elegant and superior effect
and costing something less than the all bright
work and a little more than the plain painted
steel, the rooms you describe would contain
-one- about 41 squares + and other about 26 squares
we presume they are store rooms and if you
can give us further particulars, will send
you designs – if there are girders or beams
with columns- give us size of girders – drop + face
and distances between sides to girder and
between girders- also the same measure to
locate where the columns slained? we can then
submit a handsome design in the various kinds
of finish- and grades of price- please state
whether the rooms are of with broken plaster or- new-
We can make you the most elegant rooms-
in the state of Michigan now excepting Detroit
or plainer work if you desire- and hope to be
favored with a more complete idea off your
wants.
We are daily expecting our new bronze
goods catalogue from the printers and will
send it as soon as possible-
