Mr Julius Steinberg
Traverse City Mich
Dear Sir
Your letters received and
in reply would state that we are making the alterations in plans
and will there be able to furnish
you with a complete list of the
lumber. The chimney alterations
+ I think a good vice provided you
can have the 8” of ground to feet
+ one feet? are your newer? side near? store
you will have to make the wall not less than 6” you have marked
4”. The ticket office I do not think so much of. It will I think
be an annoyance to the store and will
make a large hole latices the hall and the store that may not be
___isable in reg and to safety - but
it is a matter that you can
Determine later - We will place the chimney as you suggest and can mature the drawings and specifications - anything perltess? that you may wish let me hear
from you soon - the lumber bill
will be sent very soon ?
Yours truly
W.G. Robinson
Architect

New Handwriting:
In regard the stairs + basement
I can not decide but I think if we place the stairway back of office as we spoke what we would have
the opening on the west side of the gorder?
Leading down to the front. = In regard to the chimney
if it is necessary to have 2 inch more for chimney
we can have it (crossed off phrase)
now in regard to the stage rooms + dressing
which we are figuring 10 feet back of stage for
dressing room would it be necessary to have a wall
or could we have wooden partition or ? is the shortest of Hartman Hall that can be
opened and shut off when in use for dressing
that I would (crossed off learn) like to hear your judgment
in regard to that -
about Cut Stone I think while would
look best and if not to extravagant to have it
all the way up as shown on the drawings
but you can make it both ways so as to choose from?
about the plates in ? you can do the same
with or without but we have to plan for light in in some
way as we must have light where the sets ?
is to be placed so we could see to f? through
